Business continuity experts details how to prepare for the flu pandemic

There are many different thoughts in the corporate boardrooms all across the globe about the potential pandemic. In general, the business community is hopeful that the flu pandemic, currently related to the H5A1 Bird Flu virus, would not occur. There are many medical professionals and scientists arguing that it is just a matter of time before such a pandemic will occur. Dr. Jim Kennedy is Business Continuity Practice Lead and Distinguished Member of Consulting Staff of Lucent Worldwide Services. He says that he has been asked by so many different business people about what they should do to prepare for a flu pandemic, that he decided write an article about it. In the article he does not discuss the science or debate the public policy issues, but rather provides some thoughts on what the various business industry segments should consider in business contingency planning for such an event if and when it should occur.
