Hate preacher Louis Farrakhan, on a solidarity trip to Iran ahead of the re-imposition of United States sanctions on the clerical regime, led chants of “Death to America” and “Death to Israel.” The Nation of Islam leader spoke at the University of Tehran law school, where he praised women’s rights in Iran and the Islamic laws mandating that they cover themselves. Leaders of the Women’s March, including Linda Sarsour and Tamika Mallory, support Farrakhan and have appeared at Nation of Islam events, which promote hatred of Jews.

Hate preacher Louis Farrakhan, on a solidarity trip to Iran ahead of the re-imposition of United States sanctions on the clerical regime, led chants of “Death to America” and “Death to Israel,” The Algemeiner reported Sunday.

During his public appearances, Farrakhan, who heads the Nation of Islam and recently compared Jewish people to termites, claimed that the U.S.“has never been a democracy and has always leaned towards the wealthy and powerful class.”

In a meeting with Secretary of Iran’s Expediency Council Mohsen Rezaei, the American preacher assured him that he would stand with Iran. “I understand how the enemies have plotted against the Iranian people and I would like to stay alongside you to stop their plots,” Farrakhan said.

Farrakhan also condemned American support for Saudi Arabia, saying, “Satan seeks to divide Muslims and wants them to kill each other, while God tells us in the Quran to be united.”

In addition, the Nation of Islam leader spoke at the University of Tehran law school, where he railed against Israel, praised women’s rights in Iran and the Islamic laws mandating that they cover themselves.

Following his talk, Farrakhan led the crowd in chants of the common Iranian refrains “Death to America” and “Death to Israel.”

Leaders of the Women’s March, including Linda Sarsour and Tamika Mallory, support Farrakhan and have appeared at Nation of Islam events, which promote hatred of Jews. Despite that, U.S. ice cream maker, Ben and Jerry’s, has recently introduced a new flavor, Pecan Resist, profits from which will go to the Women’s March. Sarsour appeared in promotional material for the new flavor, despite her own record of making anti-Semitic and other controversial remarks. However, Ben and Jerry’s Israeli licensee said last week that it will not carry the new flavor.
