On Tuesday Dynamics Research Corporation (DRC) announced that it had won a new blanket purchase agreement with the General Services Administration and DHS to provide a range of support services to federal, state, and local government agencies.

Under the contract, DRC will furnish security services across all stages of the risk management framework for various government agencies including physical and cybersecurity threats. More specifically DRC will help identify and address flaws and weaknesses in the security controls of government computer networks. In addition the company will also work to ensure continuity of operations with disaster recovery and contingency planning as well as threat assessments and reviews of security plans.

As the concern for national security through cybersecurity grows, DRC stands ready to approach information assurance through a holistic lens,” said Jim Regan, the CEO and chairman of DRC. “We emphasize emerging practices in continuous monitoring as we support the DHS by providing solutions that are highly effective in protecting critical information.”

In a statement the company said the blanket purchase agreement gave DRC more leeway in taking a proactive approach to securing various agencies’ information networks and physical environments. DRC will also work with agencies to develop a more continuous approach to security authorization with the introduction of automated tools for continuous network monitoring.
