Former DHS chief joins Pace Global -- EC

On Tuesday, Tom Ridge, the first secretary of Homeland Security, was appointed to Pace Global Energy Services’ board of advisors.

We are thrilled to have Secretary Ridge’s leadership and experience as part of our board,” said Tim Sutherland, the chairman and CEO of Pace Global. “As governor, Tom demonstrated tremendous business acumen and management capabilities. His expertise in developing and implementing a wide range of security and economic strategies will be an asset to us and our clients as we work to simplify the big decisions around energy procurement, usage, and planning.”

Prior to serving as DHS Secretary, Ridge was the first White House advisor on Homeland Security under President George W. Bush. Ridge is also a Vietnam veteran and the former governor of Pennsylvania.H e is currently the president and CEO of Ridge Global, an international security and risk management consulting firm.

In a statement, Ridge said, “Pace Global has established itself as a leader in the field of energy consulting and energy management with a strong track record of success that spans decades.”

In the past, Ridge and Pace Global have teamed up to provide integrated energy sustainability, facility maintenance, and security services to the government as well as various private industries including healthcare and education.

Ridge’s appointment to Pace Global’s board of advisors follows several recent leadership additions which saw the company adding a new director of strategic planning as well as a new vice president in renewable energy development.

Pace Global is an international energy consulting and management firm that operates in over sixty countries. The company specializes in working with its clients to define strategies and implement solutions to deliver cost-effective energy.
