Hunan Province buys zNose for environmental protection

zNose offers dual technology at its best — equally useful for homeland securty and law enforcement and for environemental protection; the company makes another score in China

More good news from China for Newbury Park, California-based Electronic Sensor Technology (EST) (OTCBB: ESNR), maker of the popular zNose detection system: The Hunan Provincial Environmental Protection Agency (Hunan EPA), one of the twenty-six provincial-level EPAs of China, has selected EST as the supplier of the emergency water contamination detection and monitoring equipment for their first responders. The initial order of ten units of zNose is the largest single order EST has ever received from China so far.

Dr. Teong Lim, president and CEO of EST said that “We expect other provinces of the Peoples Republic of China to follow Hunan Province to procure similar equipment for their First Responder efforts since our equipment has been proven effective and is approved and recognized by the state environment protection authorities.”

We like zNose becasue it is a good example of a dual technology, equally adept at homeland security applications and environemtnal protection.
