Fingerprint readeriPhone fingerprint reader wins Cygnus award

At the 118th International Association of Chiefs of Police conference, Fulcrum Biometrics won two awards for its mobile biometric fingerprint reader that attaches to Apple iPhones; the company’s FbFmobileOne reader received Innovation Award in the Forensics category as well as the Paramount Award for being the most innovative product of the year across all categories

At the 118th International Association of Chiefs of Police conference, Fulcrum Biometrics won two awards for its mobile biometric fingerprint reader that attaches to Apple iPhones. 

The company’s FbFmobileOne reader received Innovation Award in the Forensics category as well as the Paramount Award for being the most innovative product of the year across all categories. 
The mobileOne reader is a portable fingerprint reader that works with any Apple iTouch, iPod, or iPhone and allows law enforcement officers in the field to fingerprint an individual and rapidly identify them. . 
“We are honored to receive these two significant awards from the law enforcement community,” said Ken Nosker, the president of Fulcrum Biometrics. “By creating a portable fingerprint sensor that could be combined with the power and flexibility afforded by iOS devices, we saw a winning combination for easy, rapid biometric identification in the field. We are pleased that FbFmobileOne has been embraced so enthusiastically by the law enforcement community.”
Patrick Bernardo, the brand director for Cygnus Law Enforcement Group, which administers the awards, said the awards help law enforcement agencies see what technology is available to help officers perform their duties.
