Glendale, California-based 3n (National Notification Network) has launched a new version of its flagship product, the InstaCom 4.0. This new version of the InstaCom line has enhanced GIS (Geographic Information System) capabilities making it more useful in disaster recovery efforts and also introduces 3n’s Intelligent Message Service Prioritization (IMSP) feature. 3n’s IMSP guarantees 100 percent delivery of messages and includes tools which smooth the integration between InstaCom 4.0 and a majority of customers’ Emergency Response Plan (ERP) and business continuity systems.

Events such as Hurricane Katrina and the South Asian Tsunami reflect a need in government and industry for disaster recovery plans that are efficient and actually work. The new GIS system in InstaCom 4.0 also features a drawing tool which allows responders to target a specific area by drawing points of a polygon which will indicate more accurately the area for mass notification.
