The multi-billion dollar EAGLE project, aiming to standardize and consolidate DHS IT operations, is beginning to yield rich contracts The usual suspects – Unisys, Raytheon, EDS — have already been awarded some of these contracts

We reported yesterday that Unisys has been awarded contracts in two categories of DHS’s multi-billion dollar Enterprise Acquisition Gateway for Leading Edge (EAGLE) IT consolidation program. Military contractor Raytheon said yesterday that it, too, has been awarded an EAGLE-related indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract by DHS. The contract will allow the department’s twenty-two agencies to obtain information technology support more efficiently and leverage their collective buying power.

The EAGLE program will run for five years with two one-year renewal options and a total ceiling of up to $45 billion. Raytheon Information Solutions will serve as the company’s prime contractor on task orders.
