Network chip developers will be glad to see that SafeNet will allow centralized access to information about the its silicon IP security solutions at chipestimate.com

Are you a chip designer, especially a network chip designer? Then you will be glad to read this: Belcamp, Maryland IT behemoth SafeNet setting the standard for information security, and Cupertino, California-based Chip Estimate Corporation announced today that SafeNet has joined the Chip Estimate Prime IP Partner Program, meaning that SafeNet would enable centralized access to information about the company’s silicon IP security solutions at chipestimate.com. Now, chipEstimate.com was launched two years ago for the purpose of offering comprehensive chip planning capabilities to the electronics and semiconductor community. In addition to the comprehensive IP catalog, designers can use the InCyte software available through the Web site to plan their next chips and explore die size, power, leakage, and cost tradeoffs for different IP configurations. The partnership would make SafeNet’s SafeXcel IP security cores available for search and considered in chip estimations. Bill Anderson, vice president of Encryption Products at SafeNet hit the nail on the head: “We understand the level of investment and complexity involved in new semiconductor designs…. Our partnership with Chip Estimate underscores SafeNet’s commitment to delivering the most complete and easiest to integrate semiconductor security solutions in the industry.”

SafeNet’s semiconductor IP provides silicon-proven security for networking SoCs and ASIC designs, and the company’s security systems enable OEM developers to integrate security into networking products.
