SunGard Availability Services’s crisis communication tool NotiFind was named Notification System of the Year by the DRI International Commission; the company says that the award shows industry recognition of the solution as a tested emergency and incident notification system

SunGard Availability Services the other day announced its crisis communications tool NotiFind was named Notification System of the Year by the DRI International Commission. The company says that winning this award demonstrates industry recognition of NotiFind as a tested emergency and incident notification system.

SunGard’s NotiFind provides an effective communication targeting a variety of devices including phone, e-mail, and text messages to reach and interact with employees, customers, and other stakeholders during a crisis or unplanned event.

The company says that NotiFind delivers a comprehensive, automated approach that improves operational efficiency and response times by managing communications during the chaos and confusion experienced when a disruption or disaster occurs. “This approach helps to increase the speed of recovery and to mitigate the financial impacts associated with business disruptions and other threats companies face,” the company says.

“This award provides industry validation that NotiFind helps ensure organizations can deliver and maintain clear and concise communication during a crisis,” said Tracey Forbes, vice president of software business development, SunGard Availability Services. “Effective business contingency planning depends on a comprehensive emergency notification system. NotiFind enables our customers to keep in touch with key personnel, deliver critical messages to a wide audience, and send and receive vital information quickly.”

The company points out that NotiFind, which is powered by SunGard’s technology partners from Varolii Corporation, is scalable, supporting a business contingency plan whether customers need to notify tens or hundreds of contacts or hundreds of thousands of contacts. The system can be purchased standalone or as part of the SunGard Continuity Management Solution.

SunGard provides contractually guaranteed SLAs for system availability and delivery, including uptime and minimum throughput in customer-selected timeframes.

SunGard received the award at the Disaster Recovery Institute International’s 2012 Conference, which took place this week in New Orleans.
