Last week AlertEnterprise announced thatit had been given three awards for its identity and access management technology used to help secure critical infrastructure.

The company received GRC’s (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) Technology Innovation award for its Enterprise Identity and Access Management Security Convergence Solution as well as two awards from Government Security News Magazine.

Michael Rasmussen, Alert Enterprise’s corporate integrity CEO, said the awards are a receognition of the firm’s expansion into new areas beyond GRC.

AlertEnterprise Security Convergence is one such technology that has extended beyond the traditional barriers of GRC, extending GRC to incorporate physical-logical identity and access management convergence,” Rasmussen said. “AlertEnterprise combines the best of IAM with compliance automation to reduce security risks and eliminate costly violations in both physical and logical access environments.”

More specifically, AlertEnterprise provides identity and access management (IAM) solutions beyond traditional software as it includes built-in identity and access governance. The company’s technology allows for critical infrastructure operators to self-service the technology to automate access requests, enforce policies, ensure compliance, enable delegated administration, and generate roles-based dashboards and reports.

In addition, the company’s technology consolidates multiple security measures into a single platform including badging systems, surveillance cameras, sensor system, and industrial control systems.

The AlertEnterprise Security Convergence Solution for Critical Infrastructure Protection, developed specifically to safeguard the nation’s Critical Infrastructure/Key Resources (CI/KRs), has been sought by various industries from the energy and airport industry to enhance the security of unmanned assets and remote facilities,” said Jasvir Gill, the company’s founder and CEO. “The AlertEnterprise Security Convergence Solution for Insider Threat Prevention, designed to resolve the most critical hole in the security of our airport infrastructure, has won many accolades for its success at improving security operations centers and identifying potential insider threats and preventing many intrusion attempts and incidents in the process.”
