STG wins DHS contract for financial and accounting services

Published 14 August 2006

A leading IT and homeland security contractor announces it had won a contract to manage financial infrastructure problems related to DHS consolidation.

Bean counting: STG, a leading IT and homeland security contractor, said it had been awarded a blanket purchase agreement to manage and coordinate financial and accounting services for DHS. This follows on the Reston, Virginia-based company’s selection as principal subcontractor to Anteon (NYSE: ANT) to provide C41 operations and maintenance support for the U.S. Army in Korea, and a new $25 million mission support contract to provide IT infrastructure for the National Climatic Data Center, part of the Department of Commerce.

STG, with subcontractor Haynes & Associates, is charged with helping manage the infrastructure issues that arose when twenty-two agencies were consolidated into DHS. Services include accounting, budgeting, and complementary financial services support. The contract runs through June of 2007 and has four additional option years.
