Company software creates comprehensive continuity assessment; Strategic Business Solutions Center offers hosting of continuity-related systems

Chicago, Illinois-based Sysix Solutions this week announced the launch of a new suite of business continuity services aimed at the mid-market. The services include the Disaster Recovery Planning Navigator Assessment Service — a complete evaluation of enterprise applications, databases, middleware, storage, servers/desktops, networks and facilities. The results allow organizations to define appropriate reactive procedures including the establishment of interim facilities, environmental and functional restoration, data synchronization, restoration of business functions, and complete home site business resumption. The service also includes a Strategic Business Solution Center to provide customers comprehensive hosting of all of their disaster recovery-related systems.

Says Sysix vice president Mike Barnick: “Companies of all sizes, and particularly those in the mid-market segment, have a growing interest in ensuring business continuity. While past contingency plans were primarily focused on the ability to resume operations quickly following an outage—today’s business continuity planning is strategic and addresses critical business functions with a focus on identifying and prioritizing the measures needed to keep the business operational.”
