A Florida engineering company changes its name; the company has several patents, registered and pending, for homeland security, military, and disaster recovery applications

Styart, Florida-based UltraStrip Systems (OTCBB: USTP), a company specializing in marine, disaster relief, and defense and homeland security applications, has changed its name to Ecosphere Technologies, and its ticker symbol to ESPH on the OTC BB. This corporate action will take effect at the open of business today, 22 August 2006.

Our name change to Ecosphere Technologies more clearly defines our core business which is to solve global engineering challenges for better business and a cleaner environment,” stated Ecosphere CEO, Dennis McGuire.

A few months ago the company signed a manufatruing agreement with Oshkosh, Wisconsin-based Pierce Manufacturing, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Oshkosh Truck Corporation (NYSE: OSK), to manufacture tactical water filtration trucks for homeland security, military, and disaster recovery applications.
