Baltimore, Maryland-based View Systems (OTC BB: VYST) has created a better mouse trap. The company has received a purchase order from the Butts County Court in Georgia for a SecureScan II system, which is equipped with the fingerprint identification reader. The Courthouse will be the first courthouse in the nation to have this new version of the SecureScan II. View Systems teamed up with Tacoma, Washington-based Sagem Morpho to develop a precision optical biometric fingerprint terminal for View’s popular SecureScan product. Sagem Morpho is a veteran in the biometric industry, counting the FBI and DHS among its customers.

SecureScan II, developed with funds from the Department of Justice, offers non-contact imaging capabilities, reducing the need for pat-down searches. The device is sensitive enough to distinguish common items such as coins, watches, and jewelry from hidden razor blades and cell phones.
