zNose sales exceed 2005 pace

Good going, Electronic Sensor Technology (OTCBB: ESNR). The Newbury Park, California-based developer of the popular zNose detection system for the homeland security market has received ten orders for zNose in the first two months of 2006 — already exceeding the 2005 first quarter total sales of six systems. Since there is one month yet to go in this quarter, the company says that the total number of unit orders for the quarter will likely triple that of the same period last year. EST still maintains an order backlog of over $3 million.

Recall that the company has developed a battery operated zNose, currently in beta-testing. It will be offered as Model 4300 soon. The new product is aimed at the first responder market and border patrol law enforcement applications.
