Heritage Foundation authors offer a twelve-principle plan to secure abundant, affordable energy supplies

The Senate’s proposed energy bill is but the latest occasion for debating the U.S. approach to energy production. The free market-oriented Heritage Foundation offers a useful brief on how to make sure that the Amercian way of life — freedom, opportunity, and quality of life — dependent as it is on abundant, affordable energy supplies, is not unduly threatened by changes to the energy landscape.

The study offers twelve principles which, the authors argue, would unleash the power of free enterprise, protect America’s energy interests, and advance freedom in energy markets not just at home, but worldwide.
