Senstar-Stellar to provide FLARE Emergency Locating System to the State Hospital Facility in Scotland; system uses RF technology to locate both indoor and outdoor events

When reporting about Yahud, Israel-based Magal Security Systems, we typically are updating our readers about the latest sale for the company’s flagship product, the Dreambox video, audio, and sensors management platform. The Dreambox, however, does not comprise Magal’s entire portfolio. Indeed, the company this week announced that its wholly owned U.K. subsidiary, Senstar-Stellar, has received a $1.3 million contract for something entirely different: a personnel-attack alarm system at the State Hospital Facility in Scotland.

The FLARE Emergency Locating System uses RF technology that can accurately locate both indoor and outdoor events. By utilizing bi-directional audio, the system also enables the control room to communicate with personnel located in the area of the alarm allowing the exchange of real-time information. “We are proud that we are able to provide this client with a state-of-the-art safety system, having previously supplied perimeter security sensors for this facility,” said Magal’s Izhar Dekel. “This is another demonstration of our continuing commitment to provide a broad spectrum of security solutions to our customers.” The work will be completed during 2007.
