RNCOS foresees 40 percent annual growth in IP video surveillance market

We do not need a high tech camera to see the future of the IP video surveillance market. According to a new report by market research firm RNCOS, the industry is bustling forward with a growth rate of 39.6 percent. “The total market size for IP based CCTV reached about $227 million in 2005 as compared to $159 million in the year 2004. It is expected to grow at a CAGR of 39.6 percent within the next five years. In 2010, global IP based CCTV market size will reach to almost $12 billion.” RNCOS also predicts that by 2010 the market for IP surveillance servers and cameras will reach $1.3 and $3.9 billion respectively.
