Tri-S to protect government buildings in Washington State

DHS and the Federal Protective Service (FPS) have selected Paragon Systems, a subsidiary of Alpharetta, Georgia-based Tri-S Security(NASDAQ: TRIS), a provider of security services and equipment, to provide security services for southwestern Washington State. Paragon was tapped to secure federal government buildings throughout key areas across the state; the contract is estimated to generate $5 million in revenue over five years. Paragon will provide armed guards on-site at federal government buildings in Tacoma, Puyallup, Olympia, Riverdale, Port Angeles, Hoquiam, and Centralia. The properties in these locations house different government agencies, including DHS, the Social Security Administration, and Department of Justice.

The FPS, an agency of DHS, provides law enforcement and security services to more than one million tenants and daily visitors to all federally owned and leased facilities nation-wide. ”
