Webmail, and messaging security solutions provider is up 400 percent this second quarter over last year during the same period owing to important contracts and a special certification; this could be a company you might want to keep an eye on

Talk about growth. CipherTrust, a messaging security solutions provider, announced record growth in its federal division. The Alpharetta, Georgia-based company showed 400 percent growth for its second quarter, compared to the same time last year. Much of this increase owes to contract wins with several important customers by the federal sales team and a prestigious international security certification.

Federal agencies such as the United States Marine Corps 29 Palms, the United States Air Force Communications Agency (AFCA), and the United States Air Force Combat Information Transport System (CITS) all purchased CipherTrust technologies during the second quarter to spur such results. “Government agencies understand that e-mail is a part of the critical infrastructure and they are adopting CipherTrust’s IronMail and TrustedSource technology to eliminate threats to that infrastructure,” said Jeff Lake, vice president of Federal Operations for CipherTrust. CipherTrust was awarded the Common Criteria Evaluation Assurance Level 2 (EAL2) certification from the National Information Assurance Partnership (NIAP) program, which is an often mandatory prerequisite for companies wanting to work with international government agencies.

CipherTrust specializes in full-featured messaging security solutions over multiple protocols, including e-mail, instant messaging, HTTP and FTP, and Webmail. Earlier this year it released an update, version 6.5, of its flagship product IronMail. The company has also announced a new version of its instant messaging security solution, IronIM. You could do worse than to pay attention to the growth of this company.
