AS&E's SmartCheck wins R&D Magazine’sTop 100 award

Billerica, Massachusetts-based American Science and Engineering (NASDAQ: ASEI) has won R&D Magazine’s prestigious R&D 100 Award for 2006. Each year the magazine’s editors select the 100 most significant technological innovations of the year. AS&E received the award for developing SmartCheck, a non-intrusive personnel screening system which uses the company’s patented Z Backscatter X-ray technology.
