Awareness card for vehicle-borne IEDs

First responders may now download a card which will help them identify — and respond to — IEDs and other suspected explosives

Fire Engineering offers first responders and emergency services personnel a Vehicle Borne Improvised Explosive Device (VBIED). Firefighters and first responders can download this free awareness card to help supplement their training on responding to incidents involving vehicle-borne improvised explosive devices. Fire engineering says that first responders should remember that these cards should only be used as a guide and you should still use local guidelines and procedures. The cards are designed to be user friendly, color or black and white, two-sided, print off, laminated and placed in go-bags, response vehicles, and command vehicles.
