A Lithuania-based company recently announced the release of its latest software that integrates fingerprint, iris, facial, and palm print biometrics into a single system; the combination of multiple biometric analysis tools in a single software helps to identify individuals faster and increases reliability beyond the use of just fingerprint analysis or iris scanners alone

Lithuanian based Neurotechnology recently announced the launch of its new software MegaMatcher 4.0, which integrates fingerprint, iris, facial, and palm print biometrics into a single system.

The new version of MegaMatcher incorporates the latest versions of its VeriFinger, VeriEye, and VeriLook software which have all been designed on the same programming interface to ensure ease of installation.

The combination of multiple biometric analysis tools in one system helps to identify individuals faster and increases reliability beyond the use of just fingerprint analysis or iris scanners alone.

According to Pavel Cuchriajev, the lead software developer for MegaMatcher, the new software fills a gap in user needs.

In the last few years, we have been approached by customers requesting that we unify our [application programming interface] for different platforms as well as different biometric modalities,” he said.

“Now our customers will have a consistent programming model across all biometric modalities, starting with image capture from a biometric device and ending with examination of matching results across all platforms and programming languages,” he said.

MegaMatcher was first released in 2005 as a fingerprint scanning device and has since grown to include iris, palm, and facial biometric analysis tools.
