Globecomm Systems awarded GSA schedule

Hauppauge, New York-based Globecomm Systems (NASDAQ: GCOM), a provider of end-to-end value-added satellite-based communications solutions, has been awarded a Multiple Award Schedule contract by the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA). The award enhances the company’s ability to offer its satellite communications solutions directly to authorized civilian and defense agencies. The company is already in the process of bidding for several federal contracts which make use of its Explorer and Summit product lines of satellite earth terminals as well as the provisioning of satellite services for the transport of voice, data and video through its teleports.

As a result of this award, the company’s offerings will soon appear on the GSA Advantage Web site.
