A solution scanning company’s networks and systems for security breaches receives SAFETY Act certification

Good news for Melbourne, Florida-based Harris Corporation (NYSE: HRS). The company’s STAT Scanner, which the company says is the foundation of its STAT Guardian Vulnerability Management Suite, has been designated as a Qualified Anti-terrorism Technology by DHS and granted certification under the Support Anti-terrorism by Fostering Effective Technologies (SAFETY) Act of 2002. We note that STAT Scanner, already deployed in large government and commercial networks, is the first vulnerability assessment solution to receive the SAFETY certification.

STAT Scanner provides adaptive scanning capabilities to find vulnerabilities in computer operating platforms and applications.
