Maker of hand-held explosive detection device send more units to China, where more than 100 units have already been deployed

This will not materially change the trade imbalance between the United States and China, but it is a step in the right direction. Wakefield, Massachusetts-based Implant Sciences (AMEX: “IMX”, “IMX.WS”) has received a purchase order from Beijing Ritchie’s Time, Implant’s distributor in China, to deliver twenty Quantum Sniffer handheld explosives detection units. These units are being ordered for use in China by security police, explosives ordnance disposal specialists, and other provincial law enforcement agencies. This order brings the total units ordered for use in China to 143 units. The 121 units the company has shipped to China since October 2005 are already in use by the China Railway Administration and various law enforcement agencies.
