The event organizers have introduced tools that will help attendees navigate the seminars they would like to attend, and better handle the contacts they would like to network with, through customizable online agendas, smart phone applications, and ISC Solutions’ matchmaking tool

The ISC Solutions event opens today at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in Manhattan. The organizers have introduced tools that will help attendees navigate the seminars they would like to attend, and better handle the contacts they would like to network with, through customizable online agendas, smart phone applications, and ISC Solutions’ matchmaking tool.

When ISC East became ISC Solutions to indicate a shift of emphasis from focusing on the security contractor installation community to establishing a stage for manufacturers to present solutions and applications to end-users, Ed Nichols, industry vice president, ISC events, recognized what was needed to enhance the ISC Solutions experience: “…security professionals [have] a limited amount of time to accomplish a lot. They need to find vendors and service suppliers that can provide solutions in an easier way to navigate the show floor.”

An assessment survey conducted by Reed Exhibitions, the event producer, found that 78 percent of those surveyed visited solution-oriented exhibit booths with the intention of purchasing and professionally networking. The navigational tools offered by ISC will allow attendees to compartmentalize the “must-see” exhibits and which contacts need to be made at seminars, demonstrations, or exhibit booths.

Before the show, ISC Solutions attendees can use My Show Planner tool to search companies, products, and conference sessions. Personal items of interest can be added to the customizable agenda. At the show, attendees can use the ISC Matchmaking tool which builds relationships before, during, and after the show by allowing attendees to search for specific people, book appointments, and reconnect with former colleagues. For those interested in old-fashioned meeting and greeting, ISC Solutions will be holding a networking reception on 3 November at 3:30 p.m. in the Central Hub of the exhibit hall.

The ISC Mobile tool displays event information such as the exhibitors, sessions and events, show news, floor plan, new products, and show specials, while the advanced features will allow attendees to personalize the experience. They will be able to get suggestions based on their interests, create short lists, plan their agenda, request appointments, and callbacks, and take notes.
