PAR and Carrier agree on truck monitoring terms

PAR expands its North American presence with a deal to link-up with Carrier’s refrigerated trucks

We do not know whether this deal involved any cold hard cash, but both New Hartford, New York-based PAR Government Systems and Farmington, Connecticut-based Carrier Transicold are feeling pretty cool these days. In an effort to expand its logistics management capabilities, PAR has arranged to use its tracking/monitoring technology to extract and transmit data remotely from truck trailer equipment manufactured by Carrier. Carrier, readers should know, is a major player in the refrigerated truck business, and monitoring the contents of perishable shipments is critical for both business and public health reasons. PAR’s Refrigerated Trailer Tracking system does exactly that by providing information on a refrigerated trailer’s status, location, temperature, fuel levels, battery, and history. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
