Robots to help soldiers spot, disarm IEDs

Army and Marine small units engaged in maneuver, movement, and protection operations do not have the responsive capability to detect, identify, and monitor IEDs and other threats in confined spaces such as culverts at standoff distances. The U.S. military wants to employ small robots to do this work instead.
