3i-MIND is the LEIM 2011 event to show its technology — a family of configurable solutions which help law enforcement agencies gather and analyze open-source and other intelligence in order to predict and prepare for threats; the technology uses deep-Web tools to access leads found only in social networks, chat rooms, and online forums

3i-MIND, a player in predictive and proactive threat management software solutions, is showing  its proprietary technology at the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) Law Enforcement Information Management (LEIM) Conference. The event is being held in San Diego, California on Tuesday-Thursday of this week.

“Today’s law enforcement agencies are dealing with a complex external environment and number of information sources that are growing exponentially,” said Thomas Betro, vice president of 3i-MIND’s Law Enforcement Practice and former director of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS). “Relevant information that’s crucial to preventing and responding to crime is scattered across numerous and varied data sources. 3i-MIND gives law enforcement agencies the combined power of human intelligence and advanced technology to collect, filter and analyze information, so threats can be identified and addressed earlier.”

3i-MIND says its array of configurable and secure solutions helps law enforcement agencies gather and analyze open-source and other intelligence in order to predict and prepare for threats. The technology uses deep-Web tools to access leads found only in social networks, chat rooms, and online forums. This helps law enforcement professionals identify and address threats more proactively.

“Our solutions leverage the full power of the Internet. For example, police officers working on a gang violence case receive real-time alerts each hour based on content on Facebook and other social-networking sites, so they can use that information to solve cases faster,” Betro said.

“The unpredictable world we live in requires a radically new, more integrated approach to threat management,” said Chris Wooten, 3i-MIND’s newly appointed chief sales officer. “3i-MIND combines the power of technology and human intelligence to deliver predictive, relevant and timely information that allows law enforcement agencies to identify and get ahead of threats. We can help jump-start investigations through early identification of leads, links, trends and patterns.”

3i-MIND says its expansion in the industry recently included the acquisition of iJET, a specialisdt operation risk management provider that delivers predictive intelligence, technology, and response services. 3i-MIND has more than 500 customers, including law enforcement agencies, urban authorities, and corporations.

The company points out that its offering includes an intelligence operations center; state-of-the-art data collection, filtering and analysis technologies; and a network of more than 950 analysts, monitoring threats 24x7 in more than 900 cities around the world.
