TraceGuard files for additional patents relating to its detection technology

TraceGuard Technologies (OTC BB: TCGD), a Petach Tikva, Israel-based innovative detection technology company with sales offices in New York, has filed a series of patents which cover important aspects of its core detection technology. The patent filing relates to TraceGuard’s proprietary Automated Trace Extraction (ATE) method, a technology aiming to augment capabilities for collection of traces in the security inspection process. ATE is an active detection method, involving air jetting, pressurization, and at times even vibration and heating — all done for the purpose of “extracting” particles from the materials under inspection in order to increase sampling accuracy.

TraceGuard already holds several patents relating to some aspects of ATE and trace collection. The company says that as it continues to develop its products, it may submit additional patent applications.

Dr. Ehud Ganani, chairman and CEO of TraceGuard, said that “Through development and productization of [the company’s] core capability, we intend to change the way detection of explosives and hazardous materials is done by authorities worldwide.”
