The China International Exhibition on Public Safety and Security, organized by the China Security and Protection Industry Association (CSPIA), has been held every year for the last for ten years with the approval of the Chinese Ministry of Public Security (MPS) and the Ministry of Science and Technology.

The CSPIA, on the eve of the eleventh show, while noting it wants to say a big Thank You to all the visitors and exhibitors and the support they have given the event during the past decade, also clarified an administrative issue:

The China International Exhibition on Public Safety and Security 2012, or Security China 2012, was scheduled 22-25 October at the China International Exhibition Center (New Center), and all the preparatory work has been completed.

The organizers, though, have received notice from the Big Events Management Office of the Beijing Metropolitan Public Security Bureau that the Chinese Communist Party’s 18th Congress Meeting would be held in mid-October 2012. In order to guarantee public security in and around the Party Congress, all big public events planned for the period of twenty days before the Party meeting, and twenty days following the meeting, have been rescheduled.

China Security 2012 is one of these big events, and as a result it has been postponed to 3-6 December 2012. The Pre-matched Sourcing Meeting of SSC 2012 will be held 2 December 2012. All the work related to the events – registration, design and installation approval, hotel reservation, etc. – has been rescheduled accordingly. Details can be found at the China Security 2012 Web site, or in the updated 2012 Exhibitor Manual.
