DynTek snaps up Sensible Security Solutions
Deal gives DynTek a pre-established foothold in the booming Canadian IT security market; SSS a leader in enterprise level security, a perfect match for Dyntek’s mid-market approach
Here is one border crossing about which few can complain. Irvine, California-based DynTek, a provider of secure technology services for mid-market companies and state and local governments, has acquired Ottawa, Canada-based Sensible Security Solutions (SSS). Founded in 1995, SSS has made a name for itself with its enterprise-level security solutions, so much so that last year the company’s revenue exceeded $7 million. “Sensible Security Solutions’ strong client relationships and vendor partnerships within the Canadian security market, coupled with our Toronto operations, will enable DynTek to achieve a critical mass in the Canadian market,” said Casper Zublin Jr., DynTek’s chief executive officer.
No doubt, the Canadian IT security market is booming, with one Global Information analyst report expecting 14 percent growth from 2004 to 2009, with a total eventual market size of over C$1.5 billion in software, hardware, and services. In 2005 alone, the market was estimated at C$950 million.
Under the deal, Paul Saucier, president of Sensible Security Solutions will serve as president of DynTek Canada, Inc.
