The second Homeland Security Investor Conference (HSIC) will open this evening with a reception at the Ritz-Carlton in Washington, D.C. The conference has attracted more than 300 middle-market homeland security industry executives, investors, and prime defense contractors who are looking to exploit opportunities afforded by the growth in the homeland security and government services market are expected to attend this invitation-only event. The conference is organized by CapitalSource, Civitas Group, and USBX Advisory Services. Speakers will highlight some of the most promising middle-market investment and business development opportunities in the global homeland security and government services market. The event will provide a forum for more than thirty middle-market businesses and their CEOs to showcase their companies to industry leaders, private equity investors, and prime defense contractors.
The keynote speaker will be Tom Ridge, former Pennsylvania governor and the first DHS secretary. Ridge now heads the Ridge Global, a Washington, D.C.- based strategic consulting firm.
