Honeywell, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, and Raytheon all claim a slice of the Anti-Terrorism Force Protection Ashore Program pie

As Popeye would say, “blow me down!” Four major defense firms have won contracts to protect U.S. Navy installations worldwide under the Anti-Terrorism Force Protection Ashore Program (ATFP). (ATFP was formed in order to, among other things, serve as a neutral broker for acquisitions related to Naval instrastructure protection.)

According to Defense Industry Daily, the value of all four contracts is not to exceed $100 million per year, with the cumulative value of the contract set at $500 million (a base period of one year and four one-year options). And the winning companies are: Honeywell, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, and Raytheon.

Vendors take note: according to ATFP Web site, “The Navy is seeking Antiterrorism technologies. This information will be made available to Navy Program Managers. For a description of the capability areas of interest and instructions for submitting technology information, please visit the NATTCO website.”
