IrisGuard awarded Jordanian bank contract

Cairo Amman Bank, the fastest growing retail bank in Jordan, will deploy U.K. company’s iris recognition technology in its seventy branches in the Middle East

Cairo Amman Bank has awarded a contract to Smeaton Close, Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire-based IrisGuard Inc. to provide a turn-key iris biometric identification management system for Cairo Amman Bank’s IT platform. The new IrisGuard iBank Suite will be used to authenticate banking transactions for all the bank’s customers. The BBC World, “Middle-East Report” recently ran a story on Jordan’s Cairo Amman Bank, as the first bank to adopt and deploy iris recognition for all bank processes. Cairo Amman Bank is the fastest growing retail bank in Jordan, and the bank will be the first bank in Jordan to deploy IrisGuard iBank Suite iris cameras at all branches in Jordan and the Palestinian territories. Cairo Amman Bank currently has more than seventy branches in the region. All teller and customer services desks will be equipped with the IrisGuard IG-AD100 iris cameras.
