L-1 wins $2.5 million contract with Texas Dept. of Public Safety
Company to install 100 booking stations using Identix technology; deal a perfect example of L-1’s growth through acquisition strategy
Strike up the band once again for L-1 Indentity Solutions. We report above that the company has shown strong revenue growth on the heels of its recent acquisition spree, and here is a perfect example: the company announced this week that it had signed a $2.5 million contract with the Texas Department of Public Safety (TxDPS) to install 100 criminal booking stations comprised of finger recognition technology made by recently purchased Identix and integrated video mug shot capabilities powered by FaceIt software. (The order itself stems from an earlier contract with Identix.) TxPDS will use the system to improve its state-wide live scan network by incorporating high-quality finger-based biometric images with integrated video mug shot capabilities.
