Air traffic -- passengers and cargo -- to continue to grow

UN body predicts steady growth of passengers, cargo using air travel to arrive at their destination; this means steady growth of business providing security to this growing traffic

If you are in the business of providing security, broadley defined, for air travel, you are in luck: The UN’s International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), headquartered in Montréal, Quebec, has just released its forecasted airline passenger and cargo traffic growth rates to 2025. Among the ICAO’s predictions are estimates that total world airline scheduled passenger traffic in terms of passenger-kilometers is expected to grow at an average annual rate of 4.6 percent, and total freight traffic growth over the same period is forecast to be at 6.6 percent per annum in terms of freight ton-kilometers. Here is the link (PDF) to the full press release and more statistics.

As more passengers and cargo use air to arrive at their destination, so demand will grow to secure this increased traffic.
