Company offers prepackaged toiletry

TSA imposes ever-stricter regulations on what can be carried on board; company offers prepackaged convenience items, which may double as corporate promotional kits

Where there is a need, there is a business opportunity. Take Plane Essentials, a provider of packaged, personal cosmetic and beauty aid travel kits for air travelers. The company’s products are contained safely in clear, plastic, zippered kits, which provide easy visibility for the passenger passing through airport security. The company has developed the kits in response to the increased screening requirements for carry-on luggage put in place by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) following 9/11.

The company is trying to lure corporate clients, telling interested corporate clients that they can receive a presentation of the line of products offered by Plane Essentials, including travel bags personalized with the company logo for marketing purposes. The company says such kits make great gifts and business promotional items, too, by simplifying travel. The contents of the travel kits can be tailored according to each corporation or organization, but the basic products recommended include: toothpaste, travel toothbrush, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, deodorant, shaving cream, and shower/bar soap.

The company’s motto: “I’m Not Afraid of Flying, Just the TSA!….. Relax….Leave the Packing to Us!”
