CSC won a contract to provide information technology infrastructure and cyber support to the National Protection and Programs Directorate’s Office of Cyber Security and Communications; among other things, the company will design and build an expanded watch floor that will integrate national security capabilities from the U.S. Computer Emergency Response Team (US CERT) and the National Coordinating Center of the National Communications System

Falls Church, Virginia-based  CSC (NYSE: CSC) announced that DHS awarded the company a task order to provide information technology infrastructure and cyber support to the National Protection and Programs Directorate’s Office of Cyber Security and Communications. The task order was awarded under the Enterprise Acquisition Gateway for Leading Edge Solutions (EAGLE) contract, originally awarded to CSC in July 2006.

Under the terms of the new task order, CSC will provide program management and system integration services to the Office of Cyber Security and Communications. In addition, the company will design and build an expanded watch floor that will integrate national security capabilities from the U.S. Computer Emergency Response Team (US CERT) and the National Coordinating Center of the National Communications System. The watch floor is an environment to help decision-makers and operators monitor and respond to homeland security incidents, bringing together a wide range of cyber, and emergency preparedness and response expertise.

Teaming with CSC is Imtech Corporation d/b/a Activu Corporation, of Denville New Jersey; TWD & Associates Inc., of Arlington, Virginia; and Woodtronics, a division of Cerain Corporation, of South Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
