Kendle forms biometrics unit

Cincinnati, Ohio-based Kendle International (Nasdaq: KNDL) has formed a global biometrics operating unit which will offer clinical data management, biostatistics, and scientific programming services on a stand-alone basis and as part of full-service clinical development contracts for customers. Among the company’s customers are seven of the world’s ten largest biopharmaceutical organizations. Gregg Dearhammer, who most recently served as a project group leader responsible for biometrics services in North America and Latin America, was appointed to lead the new division. Kendle’s biometrics services previously were organized under its Americas and Europe operating units and its Late Phase unit.

Dearhammer will lead Kendle’s biometrics business, which includes data centers in the United States, Europe, Australia, and Mexico staffed by 500 associates.
