NICE Systems to protect Eiffel Tower

NiceVision video analytics software will help authorities sort through the monument’s six million annual visitors; globetrotting company is also working in Philadelphia and Beijing

Israelis like to travel, and so employees of Ra’anana, Israel-based NICE Systems must be feeling pretty good these days. We reported earlier this year about the company’s deal to overhaul Philadelphia’s emergency communications systems, and we noted also a deal with the Chinese government to install surveillance cameras in more than twenty Beijing subway stations in advance of the 2008 Olympic Games. Now we hear that the globetrotting company has been in France, where local authorities have hired the company to install smart video solutions at the Eiffel Tower. The company’s NiceVision video analytic technology will be used to help security officials sort through the landmark’s six million annual vistors.
