OSI Geospatial in first DHS contract

A new business unit of a Canadian geospatial information specialist signs its first conterat with DHS

North Vancouver, British Colubia-based OSI Geospatial (TSX: OSI)(OTCBB: OSIIF) has signed a contract valued at about $2.1 million to provide DHS Security with critical infrastructure vulnerability assessments. Thecontract calls for completing the worjk in the next nine to twelve months.

OSI Geospatial has been in business since 1977, serving both military and commercial customers. It specializes in offering solutions which allow organizations real-time situational awareness, interoperability, and network-enabled operations, with emphasison integrating and visualizing live data with any combination of sensor data, imagery, maps, and charts. The DHS contract is the first win for the company’s newly created Layered Security Solutions business unit. Ken Kirkpatrick, president and CEO of OSI Geospatial said: “We are confident that this contract will lead to significant future business for OSI within the rapidly expanding critical infrastructure protection market.”
