IT company awarded large contract to offer support services to DHS’s immigration centers in Dallas, Texas and Lincoln, Nebraska

Reston, Virginia-based has been awarded a Service Center Operations Support Services (SCOSS) contract with DHS’s U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). Under this contract, SI International will support the USCIS Service Centers in Dallas, Texas and Lincoln, Nebraska. The prime contract has a one-year base period and two one-year options with a ceiling value of approximately $225 million, if all options and award terms are exercised. SI International will provide support services to the USCIS in the areas of mailroom operations, electronic data entry, fee collection, and the tracking and maintenance of files relating to more than six million applications and petitions received by the USCIS annually. The company will be responsible for assembling, maintaining, storing, and retrieving incoming petitions, applications, and supporting documents.

Note that SI International has been a subcontractor for these services under a previous contract since June 2001. This new contract award enables SI International to take the prime position on the contract. Currently, SI International provides similar support services for the DHS USCIS Office of Record Services with the tracking and accounting of more than 62 million immigration files.
