U.S. BioDefense evaluates EDS spin out

California company considers spinning out a disater recovery company it acquired in August 2006

City of Industry, California-based U.S. BioDefense(OTCBB: UBDE) has entered into a letter of understanding with Oasis Corporate Services (OCS) to begin the process to spin out Emergency Disaster System (EDS), a wholly owned subsidiary of U.S. BioDefense. U.S. BioDefense acquired EDS in August 2006 to launch its Emergency Preparedness Program.

U.S. BioDefense develops and commercializes homeland security and biotechnologies. The company specializes in identifying technologies from universities and research labs and then commercializing them. Through its subsidiary (EDS), the company operates its Emergency Preparedness Program. EDS provides of disaster mitigation services, emergency preparedness, and first response products to local communities, government agencies, and buisnesses.
