ASIS announces ASIS 2010 Accolades awards

IP video security system that is deterministic — automatically discovering/assigning IP cameras to network ports to stop hacking. It supports multiple IP and analogue video channels, HD IP camera recording, HDMI output, and analytics. The company’s most recent awards include “Integrated Security Product of the Year” IFSEC Security Industry Awards 2010 and it is a Finalist in Security Excellence Awards 2010.

Sarnoff Corporation’s surveillance camera, VerifiIR, displays real-time Visible/IR fused footage and is capable of being mounted on vehicles or at stationary points. The company claims that its product eliminates the “ghosting effects of fused imagery” or the appearance of faint duplicate images alongside the true picture. VerfiIR is a non Invasive, all-weather system with capture standoff up to forty meters away. It aids in the detection of buried materials, IEDs, body armor, and weapons.

N.J.-based Infinova, a manufacturer of security and communications systems, received its ASIS 10 accolade for the V2216 Analog/Digital Coexistence VMS, a surveillance management software that enables IP and analog cameras and equipment to coexist. Mark S. Wilson, vice president of marketing at Infinova commented for Homeland Security NewsWire on the trend of organizations migrating to internet protocol (IP) videos: “The quickness that companies are migrating from analog to digital surveillance has made the V2216 so valuable to Infinova integrators and their customers.” The analog side of the system is not touched by the coexistent system. The security staff would use their present analog control room equipment to manage both the presently installed analog equipment and new digital equipment without retraining. Wilson goes on to say that customers can being using an IP solution “simply by adding IP cameras, digital monitors and the V2216 VMS.  Not having to scrap existing control room equipment becomes especially important in the current business environment.”

California-based Firetide, a provider of multi-service mesh networks for industrial and municipal applications, received its accolade for their Firetide IVS-100 MIMO, a high performance wireless video surveillance solution for public safety and commercial security applications that reduces the costs and complexities of large-scale video surveillance deployments. The product features a 802.11n (multiple input and multiple output) MIMO wireless mesh technology delivering up to 300 Mbps outdoors for performance and security for real-time, evidence-grade video; a high-end pan-tilt-zoom analog or IP camera; an encoder with integrated 40 GB storage capacity (plus optional storage.
